Back in September, Hurricane Irma tore through Florida putting our user conference on hold. While the weather may have delayed the conference, it didn’t dampen our resolve to provide clients with great value, amazing learning opportunities, and a chance to meet one another - with some fun and surprises along the way.
Today, Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions is excited to welcome clients and partners from around the world to the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World for ELM17. The turnout is tremendous, and we couldn't be more excited to get to know clients and partners in a fabulous location! These next few days will be jam-packed – here are a few of the highlights:
ELM training academy: Guests are already taking advantage of training courses on their matter and spend management solutions. The ELM Solutions Learning Institute is on-site offering administrator and report designer tracks for both Passport® and TyMetrix® 360°. With a full day of in-depth sessions, users will get hands-on to extend their solutions' value and improve day-to-day workflows. This training, offered free of charge to every ELM 17 attendee, is valued at $1,750 per person.
A fun event with the Transformers: After a full day of training and networking today, it's time to have some fun! After the sessions, attendees will be whisked away to Universal Studios for a special meet and greet with THE Transformers. Promising to be an experience that transforms, we'll have VIP access to two of the hottest rides: Transformers: The Ride 3D and Race through New York with Jimmy Fallon before a delicious private dinner at the Red Coconut Club.
Expert insights: Tomorrow features informative panel discussions from industry experts and corporate legal and claims defense leaders focused on the latest industry innovations as well as practical best practices that can be applied as soon as clients return home. Attendees will also have access to a preview of the roadmap items planned for Passport and TyMetrix 360° - with the opportunity to weigh in on which items are most important to them.
Learning from and helping peers: Interactive workshops are one of the highlights of ELM17’s final day. On Thursday morning, attendees can take part in moderated discussions with client speakers excelling in the space on several topics such as effective use of billing guidelines, best practices for controlling legal spend, globalizing e-Billing, and tips and tricks for data and anlytics. This is truly a time for clients to offer and seek guidance based on each other’s first-hand experiences.
Inaugural Legal Innovator Awards: 2017 is the first year of ELM Solutions Legal Innovator Awards, highlighting a few of the individuals who have tackled difficult legal operations challenges in novel ways. This year's winners will be announced tomorrow, and we can't wait to share some of their innovative work with you. If you're at ELM17 and see one of this year's winners, don't be shy - see what you can take-away from their success to apply within your legal operations.
Building a culture of excellence: We’re extremely fortunate to be joined by Doug Lipp, author and former head of training at Disney University. On Thursday morning Doug will deliver our keynote address, sharing stories of how innovation, service, value, and leadership can contribute to the culture of excellence in any organization.
ELM17 is now underway! We look forward to spending the next few days with our clients, gaining valuable feedback on their goals and challenges for 2018. Whether you’re here in Orlando, or following along in from afar, be sure to check this space for updates and highlights over the next two days. And you can join the discussion on Twitter by following @WKELMSolutions and using the #WKELM17 hashtag. We’d love to see your photos and hear about your ELM17 experience, especially if you get to meet a Transformer tonight!
